Earn the Marketo Certified Associate credential

  • The Marketo Certified Associate (MCA) exam assesses a candidate’s skills and knowledge in digital marketing automation and basic email marketing in Marketo (email send programs, A/B testing, email personalization, basic forms and landing pages, and events and webinars built from cloned templates). 
  • The MCA credential certifies that its holder has the requisite knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully set up basic email marketing initiatives according to best practices, and report on program success.

About the exam

  • Approximately 60 questions
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • The Marketo Certified Associate minimum passing score is 76% 
  • Exams are scored based on the number of correct answers divided by the total number of questions
  • Exams are proctored by Kryterion online
  • Before taking the exam, candidates must agree to the Marketo Certification Agreement

 

To increase your chances of success, Marketo recommends a combination of:

  • Introductory-level knowledge of marketing automation
  • Three to six months of general marketing experience
  • A minimum of three months (200 to 400 hours) hands-on experience developing and implementing marketing programs using Marketo
  • Conceptual knowledge and understanding of the business context of marketing automation, and hands-on experience using Marketo
  • Participation in on-the-job-training, or training within an academic program or through Marketo University
