Deliverability is a complicated concept that is difficult to wrap into a tidy little number or score. However, Marketo monitors email deliverability using a variety of metrics, including:

SenderBase: Part of the Cisco IronPort SenderBase Security Network, SenderBase is a highly relevant measure for B2B email marketers since it focuses heavily on corporations using Cisco security technology. Scores are grouped into three buckets:

• Good = Little or no threat activity
• Neutral = IP address or domain is within acceptable parameters
• Poor = A problematic level of threat activity has been observed from the IP address or domain.

Sender Score: Sender Score is an email reputation metric from Return Path that is heavily used in B2C to measure consumer email deliverability. Scores range from 0 to 100.
