Lead Management Firm Marketo Names Bill Binch as Vice President of Sales

B2B sales expert to help drive explosive growth and customer success

San Mateo, CA, — May 27, 2008 — Marketing automation software firm Marketo today announced that sales expert Bill Binch has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and Customer Success. Binch, who will report to Marketo CEO Phil Fernandez, brings 16 years of best practice sales, leadership, and operations experience to his role leading all sales and customer facing activities.

“Bill brings fantastic sales energy and a commitment to customer success to Marketo,” said Fernandez. “His experience with enterprise applications and software as a service will help drive the success of Marketo Lead Management at enterprise and mid-market companies alike.”

Prior to joining Marketo, Binch was vice president and general manager, distribution, at AVOLENT, where he managed the team focused on the distribution market, small & medium businesses, and install base customers. Prior to AVOLENT, Binch developed his sales and operational experience at Oracle, PeopleSoft, and BEA Systems, where he built and managed direct, inside, and channel organizations and ran business units ranging from mid-market business customers to strategic accounts

Binch graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
