Marketing Automation Leader Marketo Appoints George Jaquette to Lead Engineering

Company Continues to Drive Revenue Growth and Product Innovation with Powerful and Flexible Solutions

San Mateo, CA. – August 10, 2010 – www.marketo.com – Marketo, the revenue cycle management company, today announced it has appointed George Jaquette as Vice President of Engineering.  Jaquette will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering world class software-as-a-service (SaaS) products and continuing to grow the Marketo engineering team.  Prior to joining Marketo, Jaquette was Vice President of Engineering, Customer Support, Training and Documentation at Intacct.

“Marketo’s longstanding reputation for delivering powerful products that are easy to own and easy to use – along with its impressive growth and outstanding customer success — is the major reason that I joined the company,” said George Jaquette, vice president of engineering, Marketo. “My goal is to continue Marketo’s tradition of providing innovative products that improve the way marketing and sales work together.”

Jaquette joins Marketo on the heels of the company announcing record growth — surpassing the 600 customer mark, making Marketo one of the industry’s fastest growing SaaS vendors. Marketo’s solutions deliver fast results that are powerful enough for today’s complex global enterprises while easy enough for companies of any size to adopt.

“I am excited to have someone of George’s caliber join the Marketo team and look forward to the contribution he will make to our continued growth,” said Phil Fernandez, president and CEO, Marketo. “George brings a longstanding track record of building world-class teams and delivering industry leading products, all of which will enable Marketo to continue to provide customers the most innovative solutions to measure marketing ROI and predict marketing’s impact on revenue.”

Prior to joining Intacct, Jaquette was a Group Manager for QuickBooks at Intuit.  In addition, Jaquette has held management positions at DTAKT Systems, Inc. and Real Networks; and served as both COO and CEO at Digital Harmony Technology.  Jaquette received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
