MARKETO EXPANDS EXECUTIVE TEAM WITH VP OF SALES

Frances Evensen joins Marketing Automation Software as a Service Company from Oracle and Siebel

SAN MATEO, Calif. - August 16, 2007 - Marketo, which provides affordable, easy-to-use marketing automation software that helps B2B marketing professionals drive revenue and improve accountability, today announced the appointment of Frances Evensen as vice president of sales.

Evensen brings more than 17 years of sales management experience to Marketo, where she will be responsible for building and leading Marketo's sales and user services activities. Before Marketo, Frances was Group Sales Director, CRM at Oracle, which she joined upon their purchase of Siebel Systems. She has also held sales management roles at Extensity, Commerce One and Forte. Frances holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Evensen joins a team of experienced marketing automation executives, including Phil Fernandez, Jon Miller and David Morandi, all formerly of Epiphany.
