Product Manager

Product Management is the glue between the engineering group and the marketing and business folks. It is critical to be able to understand many facets of a technology project and negotiate the path to success. At Marketo, we put a high premium on user experience and quality. However, we also are nimble and want to lead the market space of Marketing Automation.

This position is for Product Management and Product Marketing of the flagship Marketo Lead Management product.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce product specifications that help engineering and marketing agree on scope;
  • Understand the product and market from front to back;
  • Categorize and prioritize bugs and features, while coordinating with the project management plans;
  • Maintain a product roadmap and get buy-in from all stakeholders;
  • Participate in customer analysis, heuristics and reviews to help set priorities;
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop products in the market place and research future direction;
  • Participate in the community success program, including documentation of best practices;
  • And wear additional hats as needed in a fast-paced technology startup.
In exchange for these responsibilities, you get to help direct a major new product in Marketing Automation as well as set standards and practices for the company as we grow. It is an exciting time at Marketo, as we launch our flagship product.

The position reports to Director, UX and Product Management.
