Wes Wasson is senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Citrix Systems, an industry leader in virtualization, networking and cloud computing, and one of the world’s top five SaaS players. The former Sun Microsystems and Network Associates executive brings an extensive track record of success with nearly 20 years of experience in enterprise computing. At Sun Microsystems, Wasson served as vice president in the Java Enterprise System line of business, where he helped Sun achieve number one market share positions across several industry segments. Prior to Sun, Wasson held several leadership positions at Network Associates, where he helped them grow from a $200M single product company into a $1B industry leader in networking and security in just under four years. Wasson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Biola University where he received the President’s Award as top overall graduate. He also earned a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.
Bruce Cleveland has been part of InterWest's IT team since 2006, focusing on investments in the software and services sector with an emphasis on Software as a Service (SaaS) and analytical applications. He is a board member of Cloud9 Analytics, Marketo, and Signal Demand. Prior to joining InterWest, Cleveland was one of the original members of the Siebel executive team. At Siebel, he held numerous executive positions including senior vice president and general manager of products, senior vice president and general manager of the OnDemand and SMB divisions and senior vice president of marketing and alliances. In the latter capacity, he is credited by Forbes and IDC with creating the most effective alliance organization in the enterprise software industry. He also held executive positions in engineering and product management at Apple Computer and Oracle Corporation. Prior to Oracle, he held technical positions at AT&T. Cleveland attended the United States Military Academy, West Point, and received a B.S. in business administration from CSU, Sacramento.
Doug Pepper has been with InterWest's IT group since 2000, investing in SaaS, digital media and consumer Internet companies. Pepper has led investments including Marketo, Tapjoy, Flurry, Varolii, Spredfast, Brand.net, and INVIDI. He also co-led InterWest's investment in Lombardi Software which was acquired by IBM. Pepper has played a defining role in InterWest's investment activities in the SaaS and Digital Media spaces. Previously, Pepper has worked in business development at Amazon.com, helping launch Amazon's Auctions and Z-Shops businesses. Prior to Amazon.com, Pepper was a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York focusing primarily on technology and healthcare. In this role, Pepper also spent time in Hong Kong, working with technology clients in China, India and Korea. Pepper received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, and his M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Tae Hea Nahm is a founding general partner of Storm Ventures. At Storm, Tae Hea has invested in Airespace Networks (where he was also the founding CEO, and acquired by Cisco), Berkana Wireless (acquired by Qualcomm), Com2us (KOSDAQ: A078340), McubeWorks (acquired by Core Logic), and OSA Technologies (acquired by Avocent). His investment focus is in wireless, software, semiconductors and East Asia. Prior to Storm, Tae Hea was a founding partner of Venture Law Group, a partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and a cofounder of Novera Optics. Since his first client (incorporating StrataCom), Tae Hea has advised and personally invested in startups in various industries, such as communications (JetCell/Cisco, Netro, Ramp Networks/Nokia, StrataCom/Cisco, Telera/Alcatel, Transmedia/Cisco and Xylan/Alcatel), internet and services (AtRoad and Sina.com), life science/materials (Connectics, Landec and General Surgical Innovation/Tyco), semiconductors (ESS Technology, IC Works/Cypress, Marvell Technology and Quality Semiconductor/IDT), and software (Access360/IBM and Gupta Technologies). Robin Vasan is a software entrepreneur and investor. He invests in cloud computing applications, open source, virtualization, and security sectors in enterprise software. Besides Marketo, his current investments include Alfresco, Centrify, GroundWork, Kickfire, TrueDemand, and Webroot, and notable past investments include Akimbi (acquired by VMWare), Trigo (acquired by IBM) and webMethods (NASDAQ:WEBM). Prior to joining Mayfield in 1999, Robin was a founder and/or key member of several successful software startups including CATS Software, Infinity Financial Technology, acquired by SunGard (SDS) and Risk Management Solutions. Robin earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A.S. dual degree in industrial engineering and economics from Stanford University. Robin has been recognized as the Top Open Source investor by Infoworld magazine and is a frequent speaker at technology and venture industry events.
Norm Fogelsong has more than 30 years of venture capital and growth equity experience. He currently emphasizes investments in private later-stage companies and in select public market opportunities. Norm is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). He has led investments in Aspect Communications (ASPT), Compaq Computers (CPQ), Concur Technologies (CNQR), Convex Computers (CNVX), Cortina Systems, Danger (acquired by Microsoft Corp.) Integrated Circuit Works (acquired by Cypress Semiconductor Corp.), Lam Research (LRCX), LensVector, Marketo, Platinum Software (PSQL), Polycom (PLCM), SkyStream Networks (acquired by Ericsson), TelCom Semiconductor (TLCM) and Websense (WBSN). Norm previously worked as computer programmer at Hewlett-Packard and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He has served the local community as the Treasurer of the Children's Health Council, the Secretary of the Churchill Club, the founder of the Kona Jazz Festival and as a member of the Major Gifts Committees at Menlo School and Stanford University. Norm earned an engineering degree from Stanford, and an MBA /JD from Harvard.
Phil is a 26-year Silicon Valley veteran and has the scars (and a couple of successful IPOs) to prove it. Prior to Marketo, he was President and COO of Epiphany, a public enterprise software company known for its visionary marketing products. Before this, Phil was COO and SVP of Products and Services at Red Brick Systems, a pioneering data warehouse vendor. Earlier, Phil held leadership positions at Metaphor Computer Systems, Stanford University Medical Center, and Masstor Systems. Phil holds a BA from Stanford University.
Neeraj Agrawal is a General Partner at Battery Ventures, leading investments for the firm in enterprise software/SaaS, technology-enabled services and Internet companies. He was a founding investor in BladeLogic (acquired by BMC). His additional investments include Applimation (acquired by Informatica), Bazaarvoice, Brightree, Guidewire Software, Groupon (GRPN), Internet Brands (NASDAQ: INET), Omniture (acquired by Adobe), RealPage (NASDAQ: RP), and Wayfair (formerly CSN Stores).
Neeraj joined Battery in 2000 and prior to that, he worked as a product manager at Real Networks, an operating executive at SkyTV, and a management consultant with Booz-Allen. Neeraj holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University as well as an MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School. He has also served on the boards of the Central Park Conservancy, the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, and the San Francisco Exploratorium.
Previously, Roger was Chairman and former CEO of Epiphany, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent customer interaction software. Before joining Epiphany, Roger was Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Peat Marwick-a $9 billion, 85,000 person worldwide accounting and consulting organization. As COO, Roger led the firm to consecutive years of record revenue and profitability. Prior to becoming Deputy Chairman, as head of KPMG’s Technology Practice, he grew that business by over 250 percent in his four years of leadership.
A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Roger is past Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Walter A. Hass School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
